The drive is an adventure! It's a one lane gravel road so be prepared, we made it with a full mini van, but it was scary a few times and I can't imagine in winter or bad weather. If you like margaritas you have to try the margaritaville machine! If you plan on cooking pack things like aluminum foil, ziplock bags etc as it is not stocked. There are some very minor maintenance issues (like a broken stair going down to the fire pit). The inside of the cabin was very clean upon arrival but it was disappointing to find some garbage outside. You cannot beat the view and the sound of water right outside your cabin. We throughly enjoyed our week long stay at River Edge. Thank you so much it was a wonderful family vacation. Grocery stores are within 20 mins and had everything we needed. We stayed for 6 days and did not want to leave. I just cannot think of a negative thing to say. Cabin was wonderfully furnished and decorated.
The view and the sound of the River is amazing and hypnotic. Kitchen and bathrooms had everything that we needed although you may want to bring some extra toilet paper and maybe trash bags. Everything worked from all of the Televisions to the remotes, the gas fireplace was absolutely awesome as was the gas firepit on the deck outside the living room with a beautiful outdoor Television if you wanted to use it. Just take your time and be alert as you drive thru the mountain roads to get to the cabin and all will be fine. It was a little unnerving the first couple times driving back and forth to the cabin but after day number two we were experts at it. Previous reviews that discussed the roads to the cabin are accurate. The Cabin was absolutely wonderful and beyond our expectations. What can I say.I wasn't sure what to expect but this Cabin and the Cabin rental company was so much better then what we even hoped for.Ĭheck-In and Check out was as easy as it gets. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and I will definitely use cabinsusa again. Do a walk through to make sure everything is clean and ready to go for the next renter. This is not good for elderly people who have a hard time walking.Ī very good suggestion is if you don't rent a cabin for a while, have your cleaners go in and dust or something. And the only other drawback was there was no bathroom on the main floor. The tables and handrails on the main balcony had to be wiped down before we could use them.
So we had to wash those before we could use it ourselves. The dishwasher still had dirty dishes left from the people who stayed prior to us. My only complaints were that we had to wipe things down before we could sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. We really enjoyed being in this cabin because of the beautiful scenery! But after a couple of times going back and forth to places it wasn't so bad. This cabin was amazing and beautiful! The location was beautiful! The road leading to the cabin was a little scary since we have never driven on roads like this before.
